Supportive treatment of giant cell tumor of bone

Giant cell tumor of bone is a kind of latent malignant or osteolytic tumor between benign and malignant. The predilection age is young and middle-aged, female is more than male, the predilection site is the distal femur and upper tibia, mainly manifested as local pain and swelling. For patients with recurrence, resection or segmental resection surgery or prosthesis implantation can be done; for patients with local invasion, extensive or radical resection can be used, chemotherapy is ineffective; for patients with difficult surgical sites such as spinal lesions, radiotherapy can be used, but after radiotherapy, sarcomatous degeneration is prone to occur.
