is an intermediate product formed by methionine and cysteine metabolism, belonging to a sulfur-containing amino acid. The normal range of homocysteine is 5-15μmol/L, mainly used for myocardial infarction, coronary heart disease, cerebral infarction and other diseases. If the measured results show>15μmol/L, it indicates that the index is high, which may be related to the above organic diseases. However, 12μmol/L is in the normal range, which is a normal result and usually not accompanied by obvious abnormal changes, so the homocysteine level of 12μmol/L in women is generally not high.
