How long does Achilles tendon rupture take to recover?

Your health is my mission.
The Achilles tendon is the strongest tendon in the human body, and it is also the main force for plantar flexion of the ankle joint. Sudden stretching of the Achilles tendon tissue will cause complete or partial rupture. Non-surgical treatment normally uses plaster to fix the foot in plantar flexion position, allowing contact between the broken ends, and then placing the foot in neutral position. The treatment will last for 12 weeks. However, after non-surgical treatment, it may show that the rate of Achilles tendon rerupture is 3 times higher than that of surgical treatment. With surgical treatment, patients need to maintain non-weight bearing for 6 weeks after surgery. The patient was allowed to gradually carry full weight for the next 6 weeks, full weight and low resistance activity for 3 months, and unrestricted activity for 6 months.
