What is stent surgery for coronary heart disease

Restoring balance, one patient at a time.
Coronary stenting is a surgical procedure for coronary heart disease, also known as coronary stenting.
Coronary stenting is an interventional procedure to implant a stent into a coronary artery to enlarge the diameter of the narrowed coronary artery, thereby improving blood supply to the heart, relieving angina symptoms, and improving heart function. For this procedure, it usually includes preoperative examination, anesthesia, stent implantation, and postoperative treatment. It should be noted that coronary stent surgery is not a suitable treatment for all patients with coronary heart disease. It is mainly suitable for patients with mild disease. For patients with severe disease, other treatment methods may be needed, such as coronary artery bypass surgery.
