Is homocysteine high above 27 considered high?

Healing with compassion, caring with dedication.
Homocysteine higher than 27μmol/L is generally considered high.
Homocysteine is generally used to assist in the diagnosis of coronary atherosclerotic heart disease, myocardial infarction, cerebral infarction and other cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. The normal reference value is 5-15μmol/L. If the examination result exceeds 27μmol/L, it belongs to abnormal condition, which is usually considered high, indicating that the risk of suffering from the above cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases is relatively high. The patient should cooperate with the doctor to further detect whether there is disease as soon as possible through head CT examination, head X-ray examination, magnetic resonance imaging examination and other methods, and provide basis for doctors to formulate treatment plan.
