Spinal fractures are divided into cervical spine fractures, thoracic spine fractures and lumbar spine fractures. The most common fractures are thoracolumbar fractures, which can be divided into type A, type B and type C fractures. Type A mainly involves fractures of the anterior and middle columns. Type B fractures mainly involve distraction injuries caused by injuries to the posterior ligament complex and posterior columns. Type C fractures involve all planes of the anterior, middle and posterior columns. Cervical spine fracture is divided into flexion, hyperextension, vertical violence, lateral stress injury, flexion compression type including burst fracture, simple compression fracture.
