Tetanus first day symptoms

Empowering you to live your best life.
Tetanus toxin mainly invades motor neurons of the nervous system. Therefore, the clinical characteristics of tetanus toxin are bite, paroxysmal spasm and tonic spasm. The main muscle groups include masseter muscle, dorsal muscle, abdominal muscle and limb muscle. Tetanus normally has an incubation period of about 7 days. Individual patients will develop tetanus within 1-2 days after injury. Precursor symptoms include fatigue, dizziness, headache, masticatory weakness, etc. These symptoms generally last 12-24 hours, followed by typical muscle contractions, initially showing masseter muscles, followed by facial muscles, neck muscles, dorsal abdominal muscles, limb muscles, diaphragm and intercostal muscles. The shorter the incubation period, the worse the prognosis.
