Neisseria gonorrhoeae gram stain. What's going on?

Building a healthier future, together.
First of all, we need to know that Neisseria gonorrhoeae is mainly a pathogenic bacterium transmitted through sexual life. It is a negative cocci. Gram staining is a staining method. This staining method is used to observe whether there is Gram negative diplococcus. Because Neisseria gonorrhoeae is a kind of negative diplococcus, it is easy to find it under microscope after staining. Neisseria gonorrhoeae is normally an acute infection under microscope. A small pile of negative cocci is formed in neutrophils, stained pink and visible. Therefore, if there is a small pile of red cocci in pairs on the smear, if it comes from the urinary system, it is very likely to be infected with Neisseria gonorrhoeae. However, this is only identified by morphology. It cannot be 100% certain that it is Neisseria gonorrhoeae. If you want to know whether it is Neisseria gonorrhoeae, you need to culture and identify it to determine that it is Neisseria gonorrhoeae. You can't know it from the smear, but subjectively think that it may be Neisseria gonorrhoeae. If the smear is fast and convenient, the result is faster, and the treatment is faster.
