There is no such thing as 4 kinds of adverse reactions of acupuncture. The common adverse reactions of acupuncture include dizziness, needle stagnation, insomnia and paresthesia.
1. Acupuncture dizziness
may occur due to mental stress, physical weakness or excessive doctor's manipulation.
2. Acupuncture stagnation
may cause difficulty in advancing and retreating due to stagnation under the needle. Patients may feel severe pain due to excessive needle retention.
3. Insomnia
may cause qi deficiency due to strong stimulation after acupuncture.
4.
Patients with paresthesia may still feel the presence of needles or feel like ants crawling over after acupuncture.
