What causes fallopian tube blockage?

Restoring health, one step at a time.
What causes tubal blockage: The fallopian tube is actually a slender channel that serves to pick up eggs and is where sperm and eggs meet, so patency of the fallopian tube is important for proper fertilization. The most common cause of tubal blockage is endometriosis. Endometriosis is characterized by multiple and recurrent episodes, and it causes severe pelvic adhesions, including adhesions to the fallopian tubes and adhesions to the lining of the fallopian tubes, resulting in obstruction of the fallopian tubes. Second, pelvic inflammatory disease is also prone to obstruction of the fallopian tubes. In the inflammatory state, the lining of the fallopian tubes is destroyed and blocked. In addition, adhesions are prone to form on the outside of the fallopian tubes, thus changing the normal shape of the fallopian tubes, resulting in obstruction of the fallopian tubes. There are also specific medical reasons, such as tubal injury caused by pelvic surgery, which leads to tubal blockage.
