Can CT distinguish lung cancer from pneumonia?

Lung CT examination can distinguish lung cancer from pneumonia. If lung shadow is observed on chest CT, pneumonia can be preliminarily diagnosed, but sputum cell and blood routine examination should be further performed; lung cancer needs further bronchoscopy, sputum exfoliation cytology and puncture biopsy to clarify the nature of the disease.
