The normal value of fetal lateral ventricle should be less than 10 mm, and the width of lateral ventricle should be greater than 10 mm. The measurement of lateral ventricle width is the basic method for prenatal ultrasound examination to judge fetal nervous system diseases. If the fetus shows lateral ventricle widening, it should be reexamined regularly. If the reexamination results are not obviously improved, chromosome examination and TORCH virus screening should be carried out to clarify the cause. If there are structural abnormalities or chromosomal abnormalities in other organs of the fetus, it is suggested to terminate the pregnancy early.
