Causes of fetal ventricular septal defect

Building a healthier future, together.
Fetal ventricular septal defect (VSD) may be caused by genetic factors, environmental factors, virus infection and other exogenous factors.
1. Genetic factors: The
presence of abnormal genes or chromosomes in one or both parents of the fetus may be inherited to the offspring during childbirth, resulting in abnormal fetal development and ventricular septal defect.
2. Environmental factors: The
mother is exposed to radiation for a long time during pregnancy, resulting in aberration of related gene fragments and chromosomes, which can cause fetal VSD.
3. Virus infection
The mother is infected by rubella virus, herpes simplex virus and other viruses during pregnancy, causing the virus to affect fetal development through the placental barrier, which can cause ventricular septal defect.
