How is myocarditis caused?

Myocarditis may be caused by pathogen infection, drug allergy, autoimmune system diseases and other reasons.

1. Pathogen infection

When the body is infected with pathogens such as coxsackie virus, enterovirus, adenovirus, etc., the pathogen will damage the myocardium, causing inflammatory reactions in the immune cells of the body, thus causing myocarditis.

2. Drug allergy When

the body is allergic to hydrochlorothiazide, ampicillin, tetracycline and other drugs, it can lead to abnormal eosinophils around the myocardium, causing myocarditis.

3. Autoimmune system diseases

When the patient has systemic lupus erythematosus, giant cell arteritis, Kawasaki disease and other autoimmune system diseases, it often involves the heart and causes myocarditis.
