What is the cause of cardiac arrest?

Building a healthier future, together.
The cause of cardiac arrest may be related to hypoxia, hypokalemia, hypovolemia, etc.
1. Hypoxia
If the patient's brain, heart and other important organs lack oxygen supply, cardiac systolic function is abnormal, and the sinus node cannot produce impulses, it will lead to cardiac arrest.
2. Hypokalemia
If the patient has hypokalemia, the potassium ion concentration in the blood is lower than 3.5mmol/L, which will increase myocardial excitability and cause arrhythmia, which may lead to ventricular fibrillation, which is easy to cause cardiac arrest.
3. Hypovolemia
If the patient loses a lot of blood in a short time, the blood volume is reduced, and the cardiac blood supply is insufficient, it will lead to cardiac circulation dysfunction, which may cause cardiac arrest.
