What is Heart Myxoma?

Cardiac myxoma is an unknown disease. It may be caused by genetic factors.

Genetic factors are the basic cause of cardiac myxoma formation. If there is a family history of cardiac myxoma in the patient's relatives, it may inherit the pathogenic gene, causing the primitive mesenchymal cells under the endocardial membrane to gradually protrude into the lumen, forming a raised mass, further triggering the formation of cardiac myxoma.

Poor living habits such as high oil and high salt diet and long-term smoking history are risk factors for cardiac myxoma. Therefore, it should develop good living habits to prevent the occurrence of the disease.
