Causes of Kawasaki Disease:

Kawasaki disease in children is also known as mucocutaneous lymph node syndrome. Its etiology is still unclear at this stage, and the pathogenesis is also unclear. It can only be speculated that there are special components of infectious agents, such as vascular endothelial growth factor induced by superantigen, which causes vascular wall damage. However, epidemiological data suggest that a variety of pathogens, including retrovirus, staphylococci, streptococci, rickettsia, and mycoplasma infection may be the cause of it, but it has not been confirmed at this stage.
