How babies mix and feed

Empathy in every care, excellence in every treatment.
Breast milk is the best food for infants. It is safe, nutritious, economical and convenient. If breast milk is insufficient and needs mixed feeding, it may be necessary to adopt supplementary method and substitute method according to actual situation. Supplementary method is to keep the number of breast feeding unchanged, feed breast milk first each time, suck both breasts empty and then match formula milk to supplement the insufficient part of breast milk. The amount of milk supplemented and the amount of breast milk consumed by children are determined, that is, how much is missing. The advantage of the complementary method is to ensure that sucking is enough to stimulate the breast. Some breast milk secretion will eventually increase due to sucking stimulation and return to exclusive breastfeeding. It is recommended that babies under six months should adopt the complementary method. The substitute method is to reduce the amount of breast milk at the last breastfeeding, especially to increase the amount of formula, gradually replace the amount of breast milk, and so on until all breast milk is completely replaced. This is suitable for infants after 4-6 months, in order to prepare for weaning, take this method. Mixed feeding is to adhere to the principle of breast milk priority, first breastfeed, insist on breastfeeding, no less than three times a day for five minutes, each time to suck empty breasts twice, and then increase the formula supplement, so as to ensure adequate secretion of breast milk.
