antiemetic point

Dedicated to your healing journey.
Neiguan is a commonly used anti-emetic point.
Neiguan is located on the palm of the forearm, 2 inches above the wrist stripe, between the long tendon of the palm and the flexor tendon of the radial wrist. Stimulating Neiguan can play an anti-emetic role. According to the theory of traditional Chinese medicine, Neiguan belongs to the pericardium meridian, which has the effects of regulating the stomach, lowering the inverse, widening the chest and regulating qi. Massage or acupuncture at Neiguan can regulate the circulation of qi and blood and the function of viscera, thus relieving vomiting symptoms. Modern medical research also shows that stimulation of Neiguan can regulate gastrointestinal motility and secretion through nerve reflex mechanism, improve gastrointestinal discomfort, and thus achieve antiemetic effect.
In clinical application, Neiguan has certain curative effect on vomiting caused by various reasons, such as motion sickness, seasickness, vomiting during pregnancy, vomiting after chemotherapy,
etc.
