Spleen hypodensity is tumor?

Restoring health, restoring hope.
Splenic hypodensity may not necessarily be a tumor.
Splenic hypodensity is a description of imaging findings of the spleen. It may represent a variety of conditions. In addition to neoplastic disease, splenic hypodensity may also be a manifestation of local necrosis, benign lesions (such as splenic cysts, splenic hemangiomas, etc.), splenic abscesses, or other diseases such as schistosomiasis, tuberculosis, macroglobulinemia, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, or gastric cancer.
To determine the specific cause of splenic hypodensity, further examinations such as enhanced CT, MRI, ultrasound, or biopsy are usually required. These examinations help doctors to more accurately determine the nature of the hypodensity and to formulate appropriate treatment options.
