Why suddenly have beriberi

Restoring balance, one patient at a time.
Sudden beriberi may be caused by a variety of reasons, such as fungal infection, airtight shoes and socks, excessive sweating, decreased immunity, and sharing items with infected people.
1. Fungal infection
This is the most common cause of beriberi. When the feet come into contact with fungi, such as in public bathrooms, swimming pools and other humid environments, fungi may parasitize the feet and cause infection. Fungi like to grow and reproduce in warm, humid and airtight environments. If you don't pay attention to foot hygiene, it is easy to get beriberi.
2. Non-breathable shoes
and socks. Wearing non-breathable shoes and socks for a long time will make the feet in a hot and humid state, creating conditions for the growth of fungi.
3. Sweat
Some people's feet are prone to sweat, and sweat provides a suitable living environment for fungi.
4. Decreased immunity When the
body's immunity is reduced, the resistance to fungi will also be weakened, thus increasing the risk of beriberi.
5. Sharing items with infected people such as
slippers, towels, etc., may infect fungi and suffer from beriberi.
