Lung cancer needs surgery?

Your well-being is my top priority.
Lung cancer is divided into benign and malignant, whether the need for surgical treatment should be specific analysis. Surgical treatment is the best treatment method for early lung cancer, divided into radical and palliative surgery, should strive for radical resection, in order to achieve the purpose of tumor resection, reduce tumor metastasis and recurrence, and TNM staging, guidance postoperative comprehensive treatment. For stage 3A patients with T3N1 and T1-T3N2, after multidisciplinary discussion, comprehensive treatment methods including surgery, combined with postoperative chemotherapy, sequential chemotherapy or concurrent chemotherapy, etc. Except for stage 1, radical surgery for stage 2-3 lung cancer requires postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy, while more than 90% of small cell lung cancer has intrathoracic or distant metastasis at the time of treatment, and surgery is generally not recommended. However, nowadays pathological mediastinal staging methods, such as mediastinoscopy, mediastinotomy and other negative T1 to stage N0 patients, can consider lobectomy and lymph node dissection, surgery alone can not cure small cell lung cancer. Therefore, all postoperative small cell lung cancer patients need to use platinum-containing two-drug chemotherapy regimen, chemotherapy 4-6 courses.
