Causes of thyroid nodules in men

Thyroid nodules are common in women and the elderly. There is no difference in the etiology of male thyroid nodules and women. Many thyroid diseases can be manifested as thyroid nodules, including focal thyroid inflammation, thyroid adenoma, thyroid cyst, nodular goiter, thyroid cancer, etc. Thyroid nodules may also be present in some patients after thyroid surgery and radioiodine therapy. The primary objective of thyroid nodule diagnosis is to determine whether the nodule is benign or malignant.
