Gout patients should not eat hot pot under normal circumstances.

Gout is not related to hyperuricemia caused by purine metabolism disorder and uric acid excretion disorder in the body. Usually hot pot contains high purine ingredients such as animal viscera, pork, mutton, seafood, etc. After eating, patients can cause rapid increase in uric acid level in the body, which will lead to acute gout attack and is not conducive to recovery of the disease. Therefore, it is not recommended for gout patients to eat hot pot.

Patients should eat a low purine diet, increase the intake of fresh vegetables and drink water daily, and pay attention to maintaining a healthy weight and regular rest.
