Dedicated to your well-being.
Examinations for organic mental disorders include general examinations, laboratory examinations, imaging examinations, etc.
1. General examinations
ask the patient's medical history in detail, including fever, infection, exposure to chemical substances, trauma, etc. This information helps to determine whether there is a cause of organic mental disorders.
2. Laboratory examination:
WBC count and neutrophil percentage were examined to assess whether the patient had severe infection or anemia. Some organic psychoses may cause abnormal kidney function, and routine urine examination can detect whether there is a problem in the kidney; cerebrospinal fluid is extracted by lumbar puncture, and routine and biochemical cytological examination of cerebrospinal fluid is performed to determine whether there is a central nervous system lesion.
3. Imaging examination
Cranial CT can show abnormalities in brain structure, such as cerebrovascular disease, intracranial infection, brain trauma, brain tumor, brain atrophy and other lesions; Compared with CT, MRI has higher resolution in soft tissue imaging and can more accurately show the details of brain lesions.
