How is nodular goiter caused?

Nodular goiter may be induced by iodine deficiency, increased thyroid requirement, thyroid synthesis and secretion disorders, improper diet and other factors. Most patients will not experience discomfort symptoms. If the goiter is large, patients may experience symptoms such as dyspnea and hoarseness.
