How to determine cryptorchidism

Committed to your well-being.
Cryptorchidism refers to a condition in which the testis does not descend into the scrotum, but stays in the groin or other positions. It can be judged whether it is cryptorchidism by palpation, imaging examination and laparoscopy.
1. Palpation examination The
doctor can determine the position of the testis by palpation. Under normal circumstances, the testis should be palpable in the scrotum. If it cannot be touched or the position is abnormal, such as in the groin area, there may be cryptorchidism.
2. Imaging examination
alone cannot be clear by palpation, but also needs to be combined with imaging examination, including ultrasound, CT, MRI, etc. These examinations can provide more detailed image information to help the doctor determine the position and status of the testis and confirm whether there is cryptorchidism and the specific position of the testis.
3. Laparoscopy
If the testis is not found through the above examination, it is necessary to consider taking laparoscopy to help determine whether it is cryptorchidism.
