The main transmission routes of mumps are droplet transmission, direct contact, saliva inhalation, etc. The patient is the main source of infection. The disease occurs two to three weeks after contact with the patient. The prodromal symptoms are mild, usually parotid swelling occurs. The surface fever and pain to touch are self-limiting. The prognosis is good.
