Location of meniscus

Meniscus refers to the two half-moon-shaped cushion-like structures that exist in the knee joint. The lateral meniscus of the knee joint is O-shaped, and the medial meniscus is C-shaped. The half-moon-shaped structure plays a role in buffering the pressure of the knee joint, buffering friction and impact forces, making the movement more flexible, and reducing cartilage damage. Therefore, the meniscus exists only in the knee joint.
