If there is a hard mass under the xiphoid process, the normal xiphoid process should be ruled out as a hard mass. The xiphoid process is located at the lowest end of the sternum and is bony tissue. It is relatively hard, usually conical or xiphoid. Some xiphoid processes are relatively large and anterior, so sometimes it is considered as a mass. If the normal xiphoid process is ruled out, the hard mass under the xiphoid process may be cancer. Cancer in these areas may originate from liver, stomach or intestinal tract, and some abdominal soft tissue tumors. If a hard mass is palpable in this area, then further abdominal b-ultrasound or ct examination should be performed, and further pathological examination should be performed if necessary to assist in the diagnosis.
