Under what circumstances should hysteroscopy be performed?

Hysteroscopy is usually required when there is suspicion of residual pregnancy tissue. Hysteroscopy is also required when there are multiple recurrent abortions, intrauterine adhesions caused by multiple abortions, and when there is suspicion of IUD descent or IUD insertion. Hysteroscopy is also required when there is abnormal uterine bleeding or infertility.
