Synovitis caused by a torn collateral ligament in the left leg can cause local swelling, pain, fever, and limited joint movement. Admitted to hospital for treatment with NSAIDs and topical anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs. If conservative treatment fails, admitted to hospital for surgery.
