Can gallbladder atrophy recover?

Passionate about your health journey.
Gallbladder atrophy
is a change in the size and shape of the gallbladder, becoming smaller or abnormal. It is usually associated with chronic inflammation, gallstones or other gallbladder-related diseases. Gallbladder atrophy, once it occurs, is usually irreversible and cannot return to normal. If it is not treated in time, gallbladder atrophy will further develop and eventually lead to complete loss of gallbladder function. For gallbladder atrophy, it is recommended that patients find out the cause in time and treat the primary disease, such as anti-infection treatment, stone removal treatment and surgical treatment, so as to reduce the damage to gallbladder and delay the decline of gallbladder function.
