Qi stagnation can be massaged at Taichong, Qimen, Tanzhong and other acupoints.
1. Taichong
belongs to the Liver Meridian of Foot Jueyin, located in the depression in front of the junction of the 1st and 2nd metatarsals of the back of the foot. Massaging Taichong has the effects of calming liver wind, regulating qi and soothing liver, dredging collaterals and relieving pain.
2. Qimen
is located in the 6th rib space of the chest, 4 inches away from the front median line. Massaging here has the effects of invigorating spleen and soothing liver, regulating qi and activating blood circulation, and can help treat Qi stagnation syndrome.
3. Tanzhong
is located in the chest and horizontally between the 4th ribs. Massaging here can regulate qi and relieve pain, promote qi depression, reduce adverse flow and stop vomiting, and improve related symptoms caused by Qi stagnation.
