How to distinguish between Yin deficiency or Yang deficiency

Yin deficiency or yang deficiency can be judged from clinical manifestations, tongue signs and pulse conditions.
1. Clinical manifestations of
yin deficiency patients due to the decrease of yin fluid in the body, the loss of nutrient moisture in the body, and unable to restrict yang qi, may appear flushing cheeks, dry throat, five upset fever, hot flashes and night sweats; yang deficiency patients due to insufficient yang qi in the body, warming function weakened, may appear cold limbs, clear and long urine, pale face, thin stool and other symptoms.
2. If the tongue signs are
not obvious, it is recommended to seek medical advice in time, and the doctor will observe the tongue signs of the patient. If it is yin deficiency, it is mostly red tongue with little coating; if it is yang deficiency, it is mostly white tongue coating
