Newborn female baby urethra has white secretion

Passionate about making a difference.
White secretion is a normal physiological phenomenon in newborn girls.
This is due to the influence of maternal hormones in the mother. Before birth, the girl baby is in a high estrogen environment in the mother, and the influence of this hormone will not disappear immediately after birth, which may lead to some secretions in the vagina and urethra.
This white secretion usually has no odor and will not cause discomfort to the baby. It may last for a while and then gradually decrease until it disappears. Parents should pay attention to keeping the baby's perineum clean when nursing. You can gently wash the outside with warm water, but do not excessively wipe or wash hard, so as not to damage the baby's tender skin and mucous membranes.
If you find abnormal secretions such as odor, color abnormality or redness and crying in the perineum, you should seek medical advice in time to rule out possible infections and other abnormal conditions.
