The vitreous opacity of both eyes may be caused by vitreous liquefaction, posterior vitreous detachment, inflammation, hemorrhage and other causes.
1. Vitrectomy
may be caused by gradual dehydration and contraction of the gelatinous vitreous after liquefaction.
2. The posterior vitreous of patients with posterior vitreous detachment
may be separated from the inner retina, causing posterior vitreous detachment to produce vitreous opacity.
3.
Inflammation of the retina and uvea adjacent to inflammation may also cause vitreous opacity of both eyes.
4. Bleeding
patients may be caused by vitreous hemorrhage due to disease or trauma.
