Can congenital nystagmus be treated?

Healing with compassion, caring with purpose.
Congenital nystagmus can be treated.
Congenital nystagmus is an abnormal eye movement disease that occurs at birth or shortly after birth. It is mainly manifested as eye rhythm swing, decreased vision, tilted head vision and other symptoms. Although the disease is a lifelong disease and cannot be cured, conservative treatment and surgical treatment can improve symptoms. For example, for patients who are unwilling to undergo surgery and bear the risk of surgery, conservative treatment such as prism correction, lens peripheral welt correction, corneal contact lens correction can be adopted. For patients with severe illness, surgical treatment such as medial zone displacement and proprioceptor resection can be considered.
