Intermittent strabismus, what's going on?

Intermittent strabismus should be called intermittent exotropia. The causes of intermittent exotropia may be related to insufficient assembly ability, low fusion ability, and adverse prenatal environmental influences.

1. Patients with insufficient assembly ability

may not be able to resist excessive abduction ability due to insufficient assembly ability, thus increasing the incidence of intermittent exotropia.

Patients with low fusion ability may not be able to resist excessive abduction ability, inducing outward deviation of eye position, and intermittent exotropia.

3. Adverse prenatal environmental influences

Children may be in adverse maternal environment, thus increasing the incidence of disease.
