The yellow plaque on the left eyelid is now red and may be related to blepharitis, chalazion, styes, etc.
1. Blepharitis
is a common inflammation of the eye. Yellow plaque may be caused by pigmentation caused by blepharitis. Inflammatory stimuli can also cause redness, pain and itching in the eye.
2. Chalazion is
usually caused by blockage of the sebaceous glands of the eyelid. When the sebaceous glands are blocked, their secretions cannot flow out, resulting in a cyst in the eyelid. Fat and cell debris accumulate in the cyst, making the inside yellow. When the cyst is infected, yellow plaque and redness may appear.
