What causes rectal pain?

Rectal pain is caused by hemorrhoids, proctitis, rectal cancer and other causes.

1. Hemorrhoids

can occur at the end of the rectum. If hemorrhoids are incarcerated, strangulated or form thrombotic external hemorrhoids, it may cause rectal pain.

2. Proctitis is caused by

endogenous or exogenous pathogens infected in the rectum. Inflammatory factors stimulate rectal mucosa often cause pain symptoms.

3. Rectal

cancer is a malignant tumor that occurs in rectal mucosa epithelium. Cancer cells proliferate rapidly and invade normal cells, which will damage rectal mucosa and cause pain symptoms.
