What causes acute superior mesenteric artery infarction?

Dedicated to your healing journey.
Acute superior mesenteric artery infarction may be caused by vascular disease, insufficient blood perfusion, bacterial infection and other reasons.
1. Vascular disease
Patients with atherosclerosis, arterial embolism and other vascular diseases may form thrombosis in the body through the blood circulation into the superior mesenteric arterioles, resulting in occlusion, resulting in acute superior mesenteric artery infarction.
2. Blood perfusion in
patients with blood pressure drop leading to insufficient blood supply in the body, may cause ischemia and hypoxia to form necrosis, causing the above diseases.
3. Bacterial infection
Patients infected by bacteria may cause intestinal wall ischemia due to bacterial invasion of intestinal wall, resulting in acute superior mesenteric artery infarction.
