Femur refers to thigh bone. The proximal end is connected with pelvis, mainly forming hip joint, with acetabulum, femoral head, femoral neck, etc., and then distal to trochanter, such as greater trochanter and lesser trochanter, and then distal to femoral shaft, that is, long bone of thigh, and then distal to medial and lateral condyles of femur. This piece is connected with knee joint, such as showing the connection of distal tibia and fibula and patella, forming knee joint, which normally plays the role of hip flexion and extension joint. It is a major component of the upper and lower limbs. Radiographic examination can normally show the integrity of the femur, whether there is bone discontinuity, whether there is dislocation of the hip joint, etc. In addition, normal physical examination of the painful parts, can also be clearly diagnosed whether there is tenderness, swelling, bone rub, bone rub feeling, further to do some imaging examination, such as radiation, the current stage is DR (direct digital X-ray) or three-dimensional reconstruction, or nuclear magnetic resonance and so on.
