Why is left arm blood pressure high

Restoring balance, one patient at a time.
The causes of high blood pressure in the left arm generally include inappropriate cuff size, orthostatic hypotension, arteriosclerosis, etc.
1. Improper cuff size
If the cuff used by the patient is too narrow or too wide, or the cuff does not wrap the upper arm correctly, it may lead to inaccurate measurement results and high blood pressure.
2. Orthostatic hypotension
If the patient has orthostatic hypotension, during the process of measuring blood pressure, if the position changes rapidly, it will lead to autonomic nervous dysfunction and abnormal blood pressure level.
3. Arteriosclerosis
If the patient has arteriosclerosis, it will lead to hardening of the blood vessel wall, loss of elasticity, poor blood circulation, and high blood pressure level in the left arm.
