Total hemostasis after tooth extraction

After tooth extraction surgery, patients should apply clean cotton balls to stop bleeding for at least two to three hours. If bleeding persists after two to three hours, patients can use ice packs intermittently to control bleeding and relieve pain. If bleeding is severe due to coagulation problems, hemostatic drugs may be prescribed.
