What is the name of the bone above the hip?

Healing hearts, healing lives.
The hip bone is the most important bone above the hip, which is the main bone tissue constituting the pelvic structure. The pelvic structure consists of hip bones, sacrococcyx vertebrae, ischium and femoral head on both sides. The main function of hip bone is to protect the stability of pelvic organs. The hip bones and sacrococcyx vertebrae on both sides form the sacroiliac joints on both sides at the back of the human body, which play the central point of supporting the trunk. When sitting, the ischium is mainly used to maintain normal sitting posture and ensure the balance of the body. During exercise, the whole pelvic structure is mainly supported by bilateral hip joints, and the flexion and extension of hip joints thus drive the lower limbs forward continuously, thus forming a normal running posture. Usually, especially when the elderly stand up from the sitting position, they should slowly prevent falling down and causing hip landing and damaging the integrity of hip bone structure.
