Colonic polyps
are usually small and scattered, and if they are less than 0.5 cm in diameter, they do not need to be treated. If they are larger than 1 cm in diameter, they may cause colonic obstruction, and endoscopic ligation or resection of the polyps is recommended. In addition, if the adenomatous polyps are larger than 1 cm or 1.5 cm in diameter, surgery is recommended. If the pathology report after surgery shows malignancy, endoscopic or laparotomy surgery is also required, local bowel resection or other extended radical surgery.
