Phoria is considered to be caused by sensory disorders, central disorders, motor disorders and other factors, as follows:
1. Sensory disorders
If the patient has corneal opacity, vitreous hemorrhage, choroid defect, etc., it may lead to anisometropia, affect the clear imaging of retina, make the eye position unable to balance, thus causing phoria.
2. Central disorders
If the nerve connection is disturbed and differentiated, it may lead to balance disorders between the eyes, forming phoria.
3. Motor disorders
If the patient has one group of eye muscle function is too strong, and the other group of antagonistic muscle elasticity is weakened, it will also affect the balance of the eye position, forming phoria.
