Diabetic retinopathy can be divided into six stages.
Diabetic retinopathy is caused by a long-term history of diabetes and is a common chronic complication of diabetes. According to the severity of the disease, diabetic retinopathy can be divided into non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy and proliferative diabetic retinopathy. Non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy can be divided into stages I, II, III according to the severity of the disease, while proliferative diabetic retinopathy can be divided into stages IV, V and VI.
The risk of diabetic retinopathy is related to blood sugar control. Stable blood sugar control can reduce the risk of diabetic retinopathy.
