How to treat extrahepatic bile duct stones

Building a healthier future, together.
Patients with extrahepatic bile duct stones can be treated with drugs, surgery, and other treatments, as follows:
1. Drug treatment
For patients with small extrahepatic bile duct stones, bile acid drugs and spasmodic drugs can be used under medical advice to help promote bile excretion and improve biliary smooth muscle spasm.
2. Surgical treatment for
patients with obvious extrahepatic bile duct stones requires percutaneous transhepatitic exploration and extraction of stones, laparoscopic common bile duct exploration and extraction of stones, which can restore biliary patency and improve symptoms.
3. Other treatment
patients can be treated with endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography and percutaneous transheatal biliary drainage to help bile drain into the external collection bag, promote stones to drain out of the biliary system, and improve biliary obstruction and pain.
